Who would actually buy these?

I came across these in Vinted and am wondering why / if anyone would actually buy these?? Just because they're Jimmy Choo's doesn't mean they'll sell despite the shit state they're in.

Description: These are very well worn but still very gorgeous
Designer
Size 6 39
Were worn while doing long hours at work and still have loads of life left

Ummm they're not very gorgeous. What the hell kind of work was she doing in them? And there is no life left in them!!

Are these aimed at a different kind of buyer? Someone with a rank foot & dirty shoe fetish? Or is the seller just delusional?

Yep, perverts.

loads of them apparently.

ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler · 25/11/2022 20:10

I remember reading that 'well worn' is what people put to attract those with a shoe (or feet?) fetish. Used to be lots on ebay and obviously they are moving to Vinted now.

Oh I stumbled on to the well worn shoes category on eBay years ago. Cabin crew shoes would sell for a fortune🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yep, well worn is a fetish term when selling used shoes

I don't know 🤣
But I've seen on second hand sites people sell children's clothes with marks just cos they're good brands.
And I think to myself do people actually buy them with marks on

Really? I have some of these knocking about somewhere - are they going to make my fortune for me?!

HortensiaBlogs · 25/11/2022 20:20

Looks like the seller has roughed them up to appeal to the shoe fetish market. Can you imagine women being aroused by mens worn out shoes!?

dudsville · 25/11/2022 20:24

@HortensiaBlogs , that made me laugh! It's such a weird thought either way, but surely, surely the numbers of women interested in men's manky old shoes would be miniscule in comparison!

I think there's a market for men buying other men's well-worn shoes.

barskits · 25/11/2022 20:43

Funny old world, innit?

Do you think there's a market for well-used litter trays?

BobbyBobbyBobby · 25/11/2022 20:47

They are bought by those wishing to inhale any odour and go masturbate over and in.

LoliLouToo · 25/11/2022 20:48

Used cabin crew tights is a thing too.

MarmiteCoriander · 25/11/2022 20:52

The 'scuff' marks are in unusual places though where you don't normally get wear. Also- the inside is fairly clean. You'd normally see a mark where the toes have been!

I agree- they have been 'scuffed' and 'worn' for the foot fetish market 😝

Yes - whoever gets a random black blob on a pair of beige shoes? - they're not exactly the shoes you'd wear if you were repairing a motorbike or something.
