Robot hoover recommendation before Black Friday?

Looking for a robot hoover that maps and can send to one room etc. Do you need one with the self emptying option or happy enough to emptying each day? Square one like neato or a roomba etc?

Which do you recommend for rugs and laminate?

@ParisHotel i suspect upstairs on carpet, but it goes under the beds and side table etc, so unsurprising. I make that assumption from the times it empties itself, which is more often. Except bathrooms it’s all carpet upstairs.

I carry the docking station up. As long as it’s in the same place, you just tell Robert he’s upstairs by switching the map and off he goes.

Mapping takes 2 rounds of ‘hoover everywhere’. You can still block stuff but I let it go everywhere and picked up cables. After that I’ve blocked on the map
