I recently moved to a new apartment and haven't bought a pot yet, I was wondering if an air fryer can make porridge?

I don't know but you can certainly make it in a microwave.

I'm thinking you might have a microwave, sorry if it seemed like an irrelevant comment!

Nope. I wouldn't. Microwave.

Think of airfryer as a replacement for grilling , roasting or frying. Nothing 'saucy"

I do baked oats in mine. Oats, milk, bit of baking powder, vanilla essence. Then flavour is. my favourite is apple and cinnamon.

I imagine you can do just normal porridge. Put it in an oven proof bowl and stir it occasionally.

A quick Google brings up lots of recipes. If you have a microwave that will be quicker.

@Januarcelebration - why the baking powder?

Honestly, don’t know. It’s in the recipe. I am definitely a ‘follow a recipe’ person. I think it helps give the oats the cakey texture. But I wouldn’t swear to it 😆

Food flask? Oats and dried milk powder plus boiling water from the kettle-that's what I do each night for the kids, perfect by morning!

Apparently you can make porrige in a slow cooker

Namechangeforthis88 · 23/11/2022 12:37

Yeah, you could just pour boiling water into your porridge, splash of mix, stir it up.
