I have no particular recommendations other than making it one you've heard before.

Not an audio book but I listen to desert Island discs for this.

If you’ve never tried it the Calm app is excellent for this…I don’t think I ever heard the end of a story! It’s a bit pricey for the app subscription but there’s usually a trial offer floating about which gives you a while to decide if it’s for you.

There’s also some good sleep stories on you tube but the problem I had with them was I’d doze off then at the end it went on to something else random or an ad came blaring out and woke me lol

Have you tried a sleep story? You can get a couple of free ones on the Calm app or you can find them on YouTube as well. I've never got to the end of one.
I think audible has some free ones as well.

Yes, one you've heard before. I used to fall asleep to Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter when kids were little and it still works. As does Wolf Hall because I've listened to it so often. Find a voice you like. Get it on Audible and listen during the day. Then listen every night as you fall asleep to build in that association.

Any thing read by Stephen Fry. Harry Potter is my book of choice, but there's also one on the Calm app that you could listen to for free called 'Lavender fields' (or maybe Fields of Lavender). It's boring as fuck, so when SF reads it in his super calming voice its perfect.

Or I listen to pink noise. I put it on for 1 hour and am always asleep before it finishes.

The Sleepy Bookshelf podcast is very good

I listen to an audiobook every night to help me sleep, set the timer on it to switch off after 30 minutes. Very rarely do I have to set the timer a second time, I'm always asleep.
I'm listening to Geneva by Richard Armitage at the moment and quite enjoying it.

ASMR On you tube? Some are very annoying but I like the ones where somebody is cutting and brushing my hair, it's really soothing.

I use audible factual books for this, so Bill Bryson or anything in the included list that has facts and dates rather than a story I might get caught up in.
Audible also has some sleep stories included, there is one about buying wool that is very effective!

Cold fusion on you tube, any video longer than 20 mins puts me to sleep
