I came across an article in the Daily Mail today and did a bit more digging which looks as though it could be true
www.newfoodmagazine.com/news/169635/a-third-of-hospitality-businesses-could-go-bust-by-2023/#:~:text=A%20survey%20has%20found%20that,imminent%20risk%20of%20going%20bust.
Just a fortnight ago, a survey found that more than a third of the UK's pubs, restaurants and hotels are expecting to be operating at a loss or be out of business by 2023 due to the spiralling energy and food costs.
I don't know what the answer is, I really don't. Just posting here for discussion as This is actually pretty scary. 30% of our high street could disappear by early next year due to spiralling costs. I can't imagine what the state of the economy is going to be. I don't know what other countries are doing to stop this as surely they must be in a similar position. Anyone know what eg Germany or Norway are doing?
