I've been stuck for ages at 991 - any hints from this please

Not sure if you're still after a clue @fallenover, but if you're 830 to do something you might show your TARGET.

It's not really a synonym of any of your words, I'm struggling to come up with a better clue!

After a couple of good days, I am once again stuck

I have 954 (which I assume isn't directly useful, as it's also on sunnidaze's list but not used for further hints)
