Does anyone else hate recipe changes in products?

AIBU to think that it's almost never a change for the better?

I've just had one of my favourite sandwiches and it's not nearly as nice as it used to be. I didn't notice the recipe change sticker on it until now but it makes sense.

I wish that manufacturers would stop faffing about with things that don't need to be "improved."

YANBU, Why change something that is perfectly good just for the sake of it.
Tivall frankfurters now inedible after a recipe change. Been buying for over 30 years but not any more.
m&s vegetarian moussaka now made with mushrooms rather than lentils; they have put mushrooms in most of their vegetarian range which isn’t great for me as I have an allergy.
Covent garden minestrone soup was vegetarian and suddenly they added ham to it. I now buy Waitrose instead and avoid Covent Garden products for fear they do it again.
Wish they’d test recipe changes on people who actually buy their products rather than their ‘taste testing team’ which seems to generally be people who happened to be in the office that day. When I’ve seen tv programs of them testing the veggie Xmas options the people taste testing aren’t even veggie and are unlikely to be buying/eating it. Yet they get the final say.
Just a few examples of the many ‘improved recipes’ of products I no longer buy as a result!

Yanbu

Mind u I hate they have removed the salt and sugar from everything too. Look we know ready meals and fizzy drinks are bad for you. But I hardly ever have them so on the occasional time I do it would be great if they tasted good!

Usually it's a change to cheaper ingredients isn't it. Act like they are doing you a favour by reducing the calories or fat content. In reality they just reduced how much of the dressing they put in or reduced the meat they put in it.

Leave it alone!
