Free stuff in front gardens

I love this idea and it seems to be increasingly popular.

At about 9.15 am this morning I put out a camping chair, some carpet tiles and a large plastic bowl. All gone by 10.00 am.

DH came home with a couple of books last week.

What have you given away or found?

Yes I have had a lot of success with this. The stuff is inside the front garden and I prop open the gate. I have a sign saying Free Please Take. If there is anything I am not giving away (like 2 upright chairs that I put a plank of wood across to make a table) I put a sign on them saying eg NOT THE CHAIRS. I do try not to put anything that could be used in an anti-social way.

When I cleared out my mum's flat I put all the in-date unopened food in a communal area of the flats and that all went.

I got a man like that. But it was defective so I took it to the recycling centre. 😂

My dh found a giant tatty Teddy once outside someone's house. We also gave away loads of stuff when we were moving that we couldn't take. I was amazed by this when I first moved to the UK. It would never happen in Ireland. People would be too embarrassed to be seen

Only problem was DH left a little stool on the drive

Sorry, that was really sad - but I did laugh at the first part!
