Is it normal for a 3-4 year old to drive you absolutely nuts?!

I mean I love him beyond belief but bloody hell the meltdowns and whinging is out of this world at the moment. He will argue black is blue, he disagrees with absolutely everything I say. By the time it's 8 o'clock I'm sick of my own voice and fed up with the showdowns.

Someone tell me it's a phase. Someone tell me how to deal with it please?! I'm feeling totally drained at the moment!!!

I have a 2 and 3 year old and feel like I've lost the plot. I'm glad I have a full time job now as it's so much easier than being at home!

It's savage and never ending! And if starts from the minute he opens his eyes, shouting about something or other. God send help!!

Going through this too with 4 year old DD.
Started stressing that it must be more than a phase and Googling adhd
If it is a phase / leap that will be a huge relief! I've also heard 5 is amazing

My boy just turned 4 and everything is a fight, today he was screaming for an hour because he wanted to wear joggers because jeans are "not comfy", he refused the food I made him the other day because of the colour, he cried until he fell asleep,(then woke up and ate it) a 2 hour repetition of "im hungry" "eat your food then" "but im hungry" "well then eat your food then"
it's constant, it's daily and its killing us.

Ha ha, parenting eh? That's my fave quote above "like tiny fearless teenagers". Spot on. I'm now at the pre-teen stage. That's a head fuck too. Parenting is like a rollercoaster. At times exciting with off the scale happiness and joy or you're throwing up and crying at the side of the track!
