Dressing gown no cord for toddler

Probably overthinking the strangulation risk but does anyone know where I can get a dressing gown with no rope/tie but please? Maybe Velcro or something instead. Don’t want an over the head poncho style one. Ta!

The dressing gowns my DS had when little had the cord sewn into the gown, so it only had small bits of cord loose to tie them. John Lewis do nice ones.

DS has a dressing gown from ASDA which has cord ties at the front but they are attached to the dressing gown on each side aren't aren't one cord that can be removed if you see what I mean. I don't think the ties are long enough to do any damage (I let DS have it in his bed because he's weirdly attached to it)

Zip up? Smallest size 2-3.

Harley do ones with belts attached but they're expensive, but beautiful and last really well

wishing3 · 17/11/2022 17:58

Oh thanks everyone-I guess they’re probably mostly attached then. Doh!

Dressing gowns for toddlers don’t have proper Cords. They have two short bits at the front to tie but aren’t removable or long enough to pose the risk of a normal cord.

What everyone else said. We had a lovely one from Debenhams when DS was little.

My dd has one with cord sewn on to gown. Was from m&s.

Runestone · 17/11/2022 18:12

We got a normal one, removed the cord and sewed on poppers. We tried Velcro first but it didn't stay done up very well.
This was years ago, more recently the younger kids ones I've bought have an attached cord, so it ties at the front, but is attached to the dressing gown at the back and sides

pimlicoanna · 17/11/2022 18:14

The M&S ones have short cords attached too. No risk of strangulation I can barely tie it in a bow!

wishing3 · 17/11/2022 18:16

Thanks all-ordering a lovely m & s one that I can see from comments has cord sewn in.

We do onesies, so much more practical as my toddler doesn't stop moving from the moment he wakes
