Hi, I take solifenacin which is similar. It does cause a bit drowsiness but it does lessen over time. I just take it at bedtime.

My son does. It's never made him sleepy though.

Im not sure if i was sleepy or imagining it, i went swimming later and was fine.

Am really hoping the medication helps my bladder.

I take it for night sweats. Gives me a dry mouth.

Redambergreenforgo · 17/11/2022 22:13

Yes I took it some years ago and my doctor told me to take it at night just incase (so don't know if it made me sleepy or not).

I've been on oxybutrin, currently on Solifencican and like pp I take at night so can't tell if it makes me sleepy. I also take duloxetine as it has an effect apparently for this too. I'm waiting to be reviewed again as Solifencican isn't working and is causing side effects.

The first one I tried was Urispas. I only lasted a fortnight as I was sleeping 22/23 hours a day. I couldn't have a life with it

I had it some years ago for overactive bladder but it had side effects but can't remember exactly but think it was tiredness. I then tried another tablet bug it gave me vaginal itching which was more annoying than the bladder issue so gave up. Need to back to the docs and try again cos it's worse than ever and us ruining my life. I'm worried about going anywhere because I know I'll need the toilet within an hour.

Yes, I have.

Didn't work for me. It did make me sleepy but I took it before bed so it wasn't an issue (was actually a bonus!) but on the flip side it gave me such a dry mouth I would wake in in the night several times. And all the extra wakenings meant more trips to the loo.

Doesn't sound very promising. Ive been wary of starting them, had them in my drawer for ages but after an accident thought i need to try them. I still think its hormonal, when i started hrt my bladder issues went away, but then gradually came back....i want to up my dose but the gp thinks to leave it just now.

Why cant they sort this bladder nonsense out? If it was men it would be done straight away.
