Nightmare colleagues

I work in retail and recently a lot of staff have left. About three more on their way out.

I am left with this colleague she a complete nightmare. I have had serious concerns and spoke about them to our regional manager.

I'm pregnant and have Fibromyalgia and just feeling the pressure.

My ex manager has given a lot of advice yesterday. But he told me to be strong.

I don't even know how I will get through the busy Christmas period already. Also thinking what she will be like.

Has anyone worked with a colleague that was just awful?

Why are they a nightmare? What does your current manager say?

serenaisaknobhead · 16/11/2022 06:59

Yep. You raise it. Over and over and over. And you don't do anymore than you're physically able. You're pregnant. Your health comes first. Just continue raising it and if nothing changes, slowly start doing less.

She not to be trusted and the company basically should have got rid of her ages ago.
She alway stresses the previous manager had suspicions she was stealing from the till. No one could prove it.
She basically horrible to staff.
She is very sneaky.
I've personally had so many arguments with her. Seen it with other staff.
The previous manager whom not long left warned me about her when I first started. My very first shift with her not fully trained left me on my own went out of store.
I raised a lot of concerns he would say she had a bad childhood really take no notice of her.
Then all of a sudden my patient and very fair manager totally went against her. I have to say I am not sure what made him have enough of her until this day. We all wrote our letters against her but she was still allowed to stay with the company.
Currently my assistant manager whom taken over from previous manager. He is a younger guy and he stressed but he leaving soon too.
Even the regional manager was worried and I was given their moment.
Apparently another store manager going to support this nightmare colleague but have to say have no confidence in them sorting her out.
At the moment I am holding on until maternity but it will be very tough.

Keep a diary, times, dates, verbatim. Try not to react to anything she does and keep reporting. How long until your mat starts?

I will be logging in everything in my book. I will try not too.

I may go use holidays up January. Have 4 weeks left. Baby due February.

Even the previous manager called me yesterday and he was asking how I was. He said twice now I need to be strong. Everything I said to him he confirmed. He gave me so much good advice said I will struggle this Chrismas.

I have the regional manager in the office and said they can't leave her in charge like that. Apparently they advertising for managers.

No confidence anything will be done about her. If she starts being a nightmare.

I will keep strong got to work with this morning.

Put your health and that of your baby's first. It's a managements problem, if you are getting stressed it's not good
If you find it too much speak to your midwife
