Hi does anyone have any recommendations for bill splitting apps - going on holiday with friends - looking for ones that are easy to use.
Thanks in advance

Can’t you just use a calculator app on phone?

Pay with one card and then split it all afterwards.

Splitwise works really well!

Splitwise.

if you are going abroad make sure you agree how you are going to do the currency thing. My sister and I got in a big pickle earlier in the year as I was putting everything in in Euros and she was going to her online banking to put in the amount she had spent in pounds!

My friends and I usually just do it in the currency we spent in and try to keep it as equal as possible so there are no big transfers due at the end.

One person get a currensea card (or similar) and you all pay your kitty money into that account then use that card to pay for everything, topping up if you need to

Splitwise.

Absolutely brilliant, way better than a kitty as you can keep track of your spending daily, rather than suddenly getting a time to top up the kitty! surprise.

Also with splitwise if you don't all have the same thing at the same time no one loses out, so works well if one person doesn't drink, for example, they aren't subsidising the others.

Plus you can decide the split, so you can allocate a bill equally, or only between a couple of the group, or allocate someone a bigger share. It's genius.

I love splitwise, but it really seemed to freak my richer friend who couldn't understand how the amounts owed sort of transferred themselves to as few payments as possible.
