A question for those of you with food intolerances

When you go for something to eat at a friend's house or one of your family, do you expect them to cater for your intolerance? Or do you just accept that it's not fair for everyone else to be restricted by your diet, so just eat what items you can?

It depends. I have a very unusual allergy which is in most foods. If I eat it I have pretty much instant D&V for several days. Up to them if they want me spewing everywhere!!

I can't imagine being annoyed with someone for having an allergy or intolerance or something. That's mad! I have a friend who is coeliac and ALWAYS make sure that either the whole menu is GF or else most is and she has different bread for example. Who on earth would want to make their friends ill? I have another friend with a DC with multiple allergies. I tend to ask her to bring something for him because I'm too scared of getting it wrong as there as SO MANY (poor kid)
Having said that people - especially adults - who are just fussy bastards are annoying. I'm looking at you FIL 🤨
