just that really.....does anyone know?

dd didn't go back for 2nd year. didn't ask at the time as she wasn't interested in any more education. now considering a foundation degree, so you need 46 UCAS points

will phone the college on Monday to ask, but wondered if anyone knows?

So she sat AS levels? If so they she'll have UCAS points for them

MarmaladeFatkins · 12/11/2022 16:48

no? 🤷🏼‍♀️.....she started 2 year ALevels courses, but didn't go back for the 2nd year. but it wasn't an AS course

does that make sense??

If DD didn’t sit AS levels then she won’t have got UCAS points.

Definitely no points if she has not sat any public exams.

BuffaloCauliflower · 12/11/2022 16:53

Not if she didn’t sit AS levels no. The 2 year A level courses with just an exam at the end only count if you do those. Studying counts for nothing she has to have done the formal assessments.

Id suggest she looks at Access courses

If she's older and has work/life experience, then a uni may take her on a foundation without the points. What are her GCSE grades like?

MarmaladeFatkins · 12/11/2022 17:12

the a levels she took were course work based (art) so she had an end of year assessment, but no exam.

GCSEs are average @purplewolfie , she got 4s, with a couple of 5s and a 7

she left college a year ago and has been working full time hours since. but not in a relevant job. it's worth an email I suppose

In this scenario, no. If she was still able to do modular A levels (as in Wales and NI) she would have been able to cash in her AS levels and use the UCAS points from those.
