What's average for social life?

How often do you spend Friday/Saturday night at home just pottering around? I have low self esteem issues and am constantly doubting that I'm 'normal'. I probably go out in the evening a couple of times a month and meet a friend for coffee about the same. I think I'm having some kind of midlife crisis. What do you do when you're at home for entertainment?

I'm always at home. I probably would go out more if I didn't have kids but definitely not as much as I used to. It sounds bad but I just can't be arsed anymore. All my energy goes towards the kids, house and my husband, there's nothing left for socialising. Although when I do see my friends on rare occasions I have a good time.

I love being at home .pottering ...I love cleaning .....sometimes I really can't be arsed to go out at all even when its arranged.... I go theatre with friends maybe once a month.... go walk and pub once a week with friends....meet for coffee once a week with various friend....lunch out once a month....big night out ( well not that big 😁) every 2 months ......other than that its just out with DP , DC and GC , my DM or my sister in laws ....I prefer being with family tbh

I rarely go out on a Friday or Saturday evening. In my younger years I did, but I can honestly say I don't really miss it. Most of my evenings out are during the week at exercise class or for my hobby group. DH is a musician so is often out performing on a Saturday night, but I've seen him so often I don't bother going any more!

I don’t really socialise as I hate the idea of going out. However once out I love it.

Since moving to another part of the country, I don't have so many friends to go out with often, and I miss that, but I go to other things where I get out and meet people. Do that between two to four times a week. I need to being as homeworking means I am very isolated in the working day and where I live in very quiet. Would love to build up friends to go to theatre/pub etc with, but make sure I get social contact in other ways. I am nearly 50 with two young kids.

I don't have enough friends to go out as often as I like! The Idea of a weekly coffee/walk and pub dinner would be lovely.

I go to a club one Friday night a month. That's the extent of my social life! I also have the occasional lunch with a friend, maybe one or twice a month.

I rarely go out in the evenings - it just feels like hassle to me and I don't really drink. But I meet up for coffee with friends about once a week on average.

I'm totally over going out weekend evenings, I think the lockdowns helped with that.

I would much rather go out for lunch or coffee, or maybe early drinks and be back home by 9pm.

I think there is no "normal" and everyone should just do what they enjoy - my MiL was telling me the other week that I should be going out on a Saturday night and I'll regret it when I'm older, but I think you have to do whatever makes you happy and not worry what other people are up to! My only bugbear is the shit tv on a Saturday night....thank god for Netflix.

Have you looked for local walking groups? I joined one a few months ago - it's not a proper club or anything just someone who wanted people to walk with set up a Fb group. I don't go with them regularly just when I can fit it in but it's always enjoyable.
