A question about gifts for those who have gone through chemo/cancer recovery

No idea where to put this so apologies if this isn’t the best topic to post this question.

My mum has really been my rock this year after having my first baby, I had planned to get her a reasonably expensive gift this year for Christmas as a big thank you. She has mentioned wanting one for ages so had settled on the dyson air wrap styler and brush set.

However she has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and was told last week she would have to undergo chemotherapy (initially she was going to have surgery only) therefore an expensive hair styling set might not be the best option as she is preparing to cut most of her hair off before starting chemo.

I am now stuck with what gifts to get, I’m wanting to still get something to make her feel good and wanted to see if anyone who has undergone chemo has anything that really made the experience maybe less awful, any self care that you did that might inspire a gift idea etc.

The budget is still at the 500-£600 level but I’m not sure what path to go down.

My friends bought me a cashmere blanket which was so useful when going for chemo and for surgery etc.
I also swear by cashmere bedsocks because they feel delicious and keep your feet not too hot and not too cold.

My friends also sent me a just eat voucher so I could order things as I felt like them, chemo can give you odd cravings as well as going off food.

Otherwise I'd save the money for the air wrap for next year, my hair is collar length and curly and I finished chemo a year ago. I'm booked in for my third haircut next week because I am struggling to keep it under control;.

Poor mum. She will be going through it with chemo. She will love a nice warm wrap. She will love pampering after finishing the chemo.
