Mine is butter beans. Literally a can of butter beans heated up with lots of salt.

Also, Brussels sprouts- although the absolutely stink the house out 😏

A bite of a Twix, then some cheese and chive or cheese and onion crisps. Then Twix. Then crisps. The sweet/savoury thing I guess

After eating a muffin I strangely enjoy chewing the muffin paper to a pulp to get the last bits out 😅

DCat likes doing this, then leaves me a soggy chewed up muffin wrapper, on the bed for me to find with my bare arm during the night

Peanut butter, cheese and Branston pickle sandwiches

Slice of white bread toasted, topped with watsits, tinned spaghetti and covered in cheese then grilled until melted and bubbly

Cheese and marmalade sandwiches, I love them.

This makes sense! So does peanut butter with pickled onions. The chips and milkshake, I really don't see that 😬

Jesus, a PP said their dog enjoyed this, now I also have your cat to contend with 😂 I do at least dispose of the wrapper in an appropriate manner... not sure DP would appreciate brushing against the saliva ridden remains in bed...😭

Digestive biscuit, cream cheese and a dollop of jam…instant cheesecake

My goodness - yes!

Fufumcgoo · 19/11/2022 21:19

Stilton cheese with salted butter on a plain digestive biscuit.

Gives me indigestion but it worth it.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 19/11/2022 21:21

My favourite summer sandwich.

Brown bread
Cottage cheese.
Sweetcorn for texture.
Spread one of the bread slices with some mustard (dijon or english).

Hot and cold at the same time. :)

That was frequently my packed lunch when I was in primary school!

Tilda77 · 19/11/2022 21:22

Coleslaw on toast😋

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 19/11/2022 21:23

Cheese & jam sandwiches, although to me that’s not really weird as there are lots of sweet/ savoury combos eg duck in cherry/ plum/ orange sauce, pork with applesauce, cheese or cold meat with fruity chutney etc. Must admit, I haven’t tried cheese & marmalade.
Another vote for cold baked beans. So good !

Ice.
cupfulls of ice.
Chips are better than cubes.
white ice is the best, better than clear ice.
Love it.

So did I in the 80s!! My mum would give me one when she was cooking. That and the rind off raw bacon.
No idea how I never got food poisoning.

Oh, yes, I remember sitting at mum's feet waiting for her to drop the raw bacon rind into my hot little hands!

I also used to steal the dog biscuits and sneak a tiny teaspoonful of Vitalite from the tub.

Are you low on iron by any chance?

Every time I get low iron levels, I can eat gallons of ice!

Thought it was just me with the peanut butter on toast and pickled onions 😂

I like frozen blueberries and milk from the fridge - together as you'd eat cereal (why does it hurt to write this)

Hummus in the middle of stew (maybe I need food weirdos anonymous)

I promise I'm not a complete nut job, only when It comes to eating. My kids are ashamed of me.

Yes to the frozen blueberries in milk. I love it when the milk freezes on them like a coating of white chocolate.

Vinegar on curry
Buttered Ham Slices
Salad cream on a slice of cheese
Salad cream on a slice of ham (can you see a theme developing?)
Salad cream down the centre of a stick of celery
Salad cream on a slice of red onion
Butter on fruit cake
Cheese on fruit cake (ideally Lancashire cheese)

Raw pastry Smile

Raw pastry gives you worms. Fact. I know this because my mother used to tell me when I picked at her pastry when she was baking.

A slice of pizza with marmite drizzled on top with roasted and salted cashew nuts.

Some of these are pretty random, how do you even discover you like this? Grin

AtleastitsnotMonday · 19/11/2022 22:10

Bread sauce on chicken salad.
Had chicken left over from a roast, made a chicken salad then realised I also had bread sauce left so thought I might as well add that too. Iceberg lettuce with bread sauce is devine.

I don’t think so, I give blood and they check each time, no anaemia detected.
Its from my pregnancy cravings, I’ve just never stopped!

Not salad cream on a cheesy tuna bolognese topped baguette perchance? 😂

Mine is similar..a carrot, dipped in cream cheese, then sugar. Instant carrot cake

whichwayiwonder · 20/11/2022 05:04

And sometimes I make a small amount of flapjack mixture (oats, melted butter, sugar) and eat warm straight out of the pan.

We eat sprouts year round so always have some in the freezer.

Two months ago we moved into a new build and a week later there was an awful smell in the kitchen.

I emptied the bins - the smell was still there.

I washed the sink and the smell was still there.

I was making dinner the next day. Pulled open a cupboard to get potatoes and there was a bag of no longer frozen sprouts. I had asked DS to put them away when I was making dinner on sunday. Instead of putting them in the freezer, he had put them in the cupboard where they sat for 48 hours until I found them.😲
