There is a troll at the moment who is resurrecting very old threads. People aren't reading beyond the op's posts and are replying to stuff over 10 years old .
Please people , look at the date the op posted and stop giving satisfaction to trolls by posting on very old threads.

Just check the date of the op on the thread you're reading to see if it's a zombie thread.. it's that easy!!

I've suggested over the years that threads over (say) 2 years are a different colour, so it's obvious they're not new threads.

How about you campaign instead for MumsnetHQ to lock old threads?

I suppose RTFT is open to interpretation, I'm "old skool" MN when there was much more swearing and was told in my early days that RTFT meant read the f'ing thread rather than full.
But regardless, you clearly only read the header not even the first post where I've clearly explained the date issue.

Been many, yes ignore and report. Sooner they sort it out the better.

I often do look at the date of the OP, particularly if it is a thread that has come up as a result of a search. But sometimes if it is a good thread it is better to resurrect that rather than start from scratch.
