Tell me why I should get an air fryer please!

Nothing I want for Christmas but family are pushing for ideas so I’m wondering about an air fryer. Anyone got one? How easy are they to use? I’m imagining juicy steak and salmon, oh and are the chips as good as they look on the telly?

I think you would be better off with a combo oven. Oven, grill and microwave all in one. And, because they are smaller than a conventional oven, use less energy.

The best thing I have bought this year, we have one at home and another exactly the same model, at our holiday home. They are absolutely fab. Food cooks quick, and cooks so much nicer in the airfryer McCain chips are fluffy inside and crispy outside, sausages and bacon cook really fast. We have cooked a whole chicken, gammon joints. So handy.

So easy to use, ours just have two dials ones a timer, the other temperature control. And just wipe it out to clean, brilliant.

You know the joke about vegans - the new version is: How do you know if someone has an air fryer? They tell you 😆. I’m a air fryer convert and talk about it far too much

Well I love them so much I have two! 😄

I have a Ninja Foodi and a Tower oven type with 3 removable shelves.

The Ninja we use for all sorts as it is a 9 in 1 so is great for air frying the usual things but we also cook steaks on the grill function - fantastic - roast chickens, small joints etc. on the roast setting. We also use it as a pressure cooker a great deal. Wouldn't be without it!

The tower one I tend to use for fish, pies, sausages, bacon etc. As a pp mentioned, once you are familiar with the best temperatures and timings, you can just set it and leave it. This one has proved invaluable too!

Definitely wouldn't be without either of them.

Baked potatoes, half the time than oven, fresh cut chips are delicious, part baked rolls.... I actually done my croutons in it the other day in a couple of minutes.

My roast potatoes were a hit too!

Got chicken drumsticks n chips going in tonight.

Cheaper to run than the oven, takes half the time to cook. What's not to love.

You can do cauliflower steaks really nicely too. Also butternut squash and sweet potato. So much easier and quicker.

I also cook chicken breasts for the week with some herbs/spices. Fifteen minutes and it's done. Totally transformed the way I cook.

Yes I agree, not exactly the type of thing you would have as a present, bit like getting a vacuum cleaner

Surely it is up to each of us what we would like for Christmas ?

I never understand people popping up on threads saying people shouldn't ask for something they would like to have, for a Christmas present Confused

I cook everything from scratch and use it quite a bit. Tonight I made beefburgers in mine.Same applies to meatballs too. Shaped the burgers and put them into the fryer. I.also do sweet potato fries, marinated chicken fillets, roast potatoes, peppers, i want to make cheesy cauliflower bites next.

I'm considering buying a new oven or an air fryer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
