Serum calcium. 2.69 normal is 2.25-2.55
serum alanine aminotransferase 48 normal is 5-33

lymphocyte 0.94 normal is 1.1-3.5

What context were the blood tests taken in?
None look concerning when taken in isolation.
Is your GP concerned?

Wolfscarf · 08/11/2022 18:20

Well been feeling really stressed last few months

Not really. Have you looked at what causes high ALT? Even taking paracetamol throws that result off - and 48 isn't "off" enough to be worried about the more serious options.

Dallahaun · 08/11/2022 19:48

The calcium is a bit high. You probably need that repeated and maybe your parathyroid hormone checking

MyFuckRationsAreDepleated · 08/11/2022 19:50

Is there an adjusted calcium level? Usually look at that rather than absolute level. None of those results are particularly concerning, I’m sure your GP would let you know if they think anything needs doing.

Cookerhood · 08/11/2022 20:04

The ALT isn't concerning on it's own. How where the other liver function tests?

Wolfscarf · 08/11/2022 22:43

Thanks for the replies feel a bit better now

Hi, i had bloods taken and doctor said slightly raised for calcium.. ever thing else was good liver ect.. take another test in a week, next test has to check for vitamin d deficiency.. thank u

LifesShortTalkFast · 19/10/2023 16:55

Serum calcium can be elevated if you were even mildly dehydrated when you had your blood drawn. If concerned repeat the test and make sure you're drinking plenty of water in the 24 hours prior to testing.
