Does anyone have any experience of this, either as a parent or a teacher? And is it UK-wide, or only in Scotland? Thank you.

As in Responsive Classrooms?
Learning environments with a focus on emotional competencies - cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control with academic competencies of academic mindset, perseverance, learning strategies, and academic behaviours.

International as far as I am aware.
Good teachers would be working for these things (and have been for years?).

See here for example and do a search for Responsive Classrooms

Or a day in school where teachers and students set an intention to notice positive things that happen each day and appreciate them as they happen?

Many thanks @creideamhdóchasgrá I've never heard of Responsive Classroms. I'll read the links later this evening. It sounds like a very interesting initiative.

Your post at 17:22 sounds much like the Health and WellBeing at LG's secondary, where they earn points through the week for showing compassion, respect, integrity, and responsibility. She's in S2, and there was little opportunity for transition from primary.

Hope you get more posts that are helpful :)

I googled Positive Noticing Day again this morning, and a short clip came up on YouTube. The presenter is called Paul Dix, a child behaviour expert, who is working to change behaviour in schools.

He also has a book about adults changing so that children change. At home, I follow NATP and the high structure high nurture approach to the best of my ability.

It's been a very interesting and thought-provoking few days. For me, it draws together some of the more nebulous aspects of the CfE. Thanks for your help @creideamhdóchasgrá
