I really miss working

I am a carer to my disabled child but he's now at school 8.30-4 (school bus).

My DD is 18 months old.

I was a PA studying midwifery before never returning due to caring commitments.

I enjoy caring aspects and I would love to get into nursing one day but sadly it'll probably be when my DS is an adult and eventually needs residential care.

Can anyone recommend a job I could do between the hours of 9-3 part time?

I'd have to put DD into nursery part time which is okay as she'd like that. But I couldn't do FT

Thanks so much for any suggestions Grin please no sex work (my boobs are deflated balloons lol)

Health visitor or school nurse (nurse degree then further study I think first though) or might be able to find some kind of care work in those hours. Nursery worker (at a school nursery) or Teaching assistant, or 1:1 with a child, or school lunch staff all work well around those hours.

Or something self employed?

Teaching assistant?
Dinner lady?
Nursery cook?
Childminder?
Cleaner?
Dog walker?

I love cleaning but I wouldn't know where to start as I'm pretty sure cleaners who are paid to clean work quickly and have special tricks of the trade Sad

Virtual PA?

What about a prescription clerk at a doctor's surgery. There are school hours ones out there.

Is that the only reason you wouldn't do sex work? Confused
Most men don't care what boobs look like.

Childminder is a great option. I'm a full time carer to my now adult daughter. I'm also a childminder, it's very workable.

There are courses you can do, or you could do some kind of specialist cleaning eg. End of tenancy, or oven cleaning

Or join a local cleaning agency

There are few jobs that would be solely 9-3, even our TAs (a job traditionally thought of as fitting ideally around young children) work 8.45-3.20 plus Inset days, so there is actually little flexibility there.

Lunchtime supervisor or kitchen staff in a school?
Dog Walker?
Cleaner (watch you tube videos for tricks of the trade!)
