I need some ideas. Mine graze on shite all day and I need to take them in hand.

Lentil rice cakes. Both mine love them for some strange reason.

GreenLeavesRustling · 07/11/2022 13:51

Apples
satsumas
Toast with peanut butter
shreddies
glass of milk
sctambled eggs
beans on toast

they are sporty teens though, would mainline whatever I suggest. Those are the alternatives I provide to their preferred crisps and biscuits

TalkisChips · 07/11/2022 13:52

Depends on their age, but nuts are filling although some contain a lot of salt. Houmous, carrot sticks, chopped up cucumber and tomatoes, pepper (I mean mine hate those but it seems to be the standard answer on here). Cheese. Pepperami. Fruit, grapes. Toast.

Why do they graze all day? Are they eating enough at meal times? Have you increased their portions?

My youngest is 10 and likely ADHD - I've been giving him toast but he still eats rubbish so may start trying cereal .... I wish he'd entertain fruit though!

Grapes get demolished in our house I buy multiple packets a week.
smoothies
rice cakes
bear yo-yos I know they aren’t great but still better than sweets

Snugglemonkey · 07/11/2022 13:55

Muffins. I make sugar free banana ones, apple and carrot, ham and sweetcorn, cheese and spinach. DS has been eating them since he was a baby and still loves them.

Miriam101 · 07/11/2022 13:55

All fruit. Oatcakes and hummus. Carrots and hummus. Tomatoes and cheese. Nuts (no salt). Peanut butter on wholemeal toast. Malt loaf (not sure how healthy that is, on the other hand!)

user267451 · 07/11/2022 13:55

Frozen peas/sweetcorn
Frozen raspberries
Cucumber
Tomatoes
Toast
Ricecakes
Breadsticks (not sure these if these count as "healthy")
Fruit
Natural yoghurt
Oatcakes

gwenneh · 07/11/2022 13:58

Fruit! Apples & satsumas for the older two, blueberries & strawberries for the youngest.
Rice cakes of all descriptions.
Popcorn.
Cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumber are the only veg they like raw.

Dartmoorcheffy · 07/11/2022 14:04

As a kid I loved a tomato with a bit of salt on it. Preferred that to the penny tray in the newsagents. My mum would come to pick me up armed with a couple of tomatoes and the salt pot.

shivawn · 07/11/2022 14:06

I make little pizza pinwheels with tomato puree, a little cheese, beans and lots of veggies. He absolutely devours them.

AntiqueCestChic · 07/11/2022 14:21

Any type of fruit - they are lazy though so anything like kiwi, pineapple, melon etc needs to be already chopped up. I put little tubs of chopped fruit in the fridge.
Almonds
Breadsticks, pitta or crackers with hummus
Cheese cubes - again, already chopped up 🤦🏻‍♀️
Sushi
Wraps
2 wraps sandwiched together with grated cheese then heated in a dry frying pan
Yoghurt.
Pot noodles
Rice cakes - esp the salt and vinegar ones
Tortilla chips and salsa dip
Raisins
Home made banana bread and muffins - I put less sugar in than the recipes suggest.

AriettyHomily · 07/11/2022 14:29

Eggy muffins
Frittata
Greek yogurt
Ham and cheese roll ups
Hard boiled eggs
Decent quality sausages

Protein basically.

They graze because they are boredddddd 😑

youngest is just a grazer by nature to be fair. She’s never eaten huge meals. Just picks and picks.
