What's everyone doing today ?

I've tidied the house. Washing on. Covered garden furniture for winter. Food shop done. Now I'm at a lose end. DC are out with friends. DH watching football.

What are you all doing today ?

Have done some laundry, had to use the tumble dryer as it's so wet today and its school clothes. Would have washed them yesterday and hung them on the wires to dry all Saturday night/Sunday but was out all day yesterday.

Other than that, I am spending the day, still in PJs watching tv. Trying to get DS11 to do his homework.

I have chronic pain/illness and had a bad week with it but woke up not too bad so ironed school uniform, put a wash on, made eggs and bacon for husband and made some apple muffins for friends coming tmrw. Just fed teen and DH just back from food shop with Starbucks😊
Sore now so painkillers and tv/reading for a while.
Wanted a walk but it is raining non stop.

Came home from our caravan at lunch, kids have gone to panto rehearsal.

I've got anaemia so am extremely tired and trying to muster the enthusiasm to get out from under my lovely heated blanket and fetch the school uniforms from out of the washing machine.

Spent the morning cooking, doing laundry and catching up with school work after a bit of a lie in.
We've had a big roast lunch and dh's home made cinnamon buns, now watching the rugby with the fire lit.

Quite a nice, quiet last day ... church, getting ready for my mother's overnight visit - cooking a Turkey crown I got cheap last Boxing Day . Was planning to do the one hour round trip to collect DM but DH kindly offered to do it so relaxing for an hour on the sofa before the final prep ... and enjoyed a glass of wine.

I slept until 10.30! Then I stayed in bed even longer and drank tea. Got up about lunch time, it was bliss! Have since tidied and cleaned the kitchen, done some planning for work this week and am about to start on a roast chicken dinner. The weather has been horrible, which is my favourite type for duvet days like this. I've been under my heated blanket in my pyjamas getting work done.

Once the chicken is going, I am going to sit and browse MN a bit more, then read some of my book. Weekends are not long enough, I could do with an extra day to be honest!

Went out for walk this morning with dd, and got soaked through! Dh came to pick us up! Watched a Christmas film with dd too ( desperately trying to get into the mood for starting the Christmas shopping … it didn’t work)

Now vegging out on my bed while dd does her homework. Heading round to see my mum after that who is in a nursing home, just round the corner. Ds(25) will cook dinner later, so I’ll get on with some housework while he does that.

I woke up from a horrible dream feeling horrifically anxious, so took my morning meds & a diazepam. I watched the UFC fight night from last night, I’d put a couple of bets on, and won £20 on one of them (£1 stake!), so that made me feel a bit better.

After that, I had the radio on in the kitchen while I cleaned the mildew from around the windows. Then cleaned the windows themselves with vinegar. I worked my way around and above the back door (cleaning mildew), and managed a patch of ceiling before the sciatica kicked in. Round 2 of that tomorrow.

I’ve got a bit of ironing to do later, which is a rarity, but apart from that, I’m mooching online, and will probably do some reading later on.

Cooked in preparation for tomorrow, also made sandwich fillings for the next couple of days. Two loads of washing, made kids lunch, about to iron, going to my mums once baby wakes from her nap. Was supposed to re organise kitchen cupboards but can't be arsed now.

Up at 7.30am to medicate cat, back to bed with coffee and Wordle (2nd guess was right - good start to the day) Up at 8.20am. Showered, got ready. Stripped and changed bed, washed bedding. Did my ironing & elderly parents ironing. Cooked a chicken and sausage roast dinner to take for elderly parent (93) to reheat later. Went to take said elderly parent to collect new glasses, website said optician open on a Sunday, closed when we got there. Not happy. Quick visit to DD (27) had a rant about optician and how hard life can be as a single 60 something 😂 Came home, shifted what seemed like tonnes of hedge clippings into brown bin.
Did some home admin. Washed pots etc from earlier cooking. Now relaxing with a glass of wine, rain beating down outside, 16 year old cat snuggled on lap. Phew.
