Affected By Clocks Going Back?

Apologies if there have already been threads about this. I really get thrown by the change & feel so tired - it usually takes at least a week to adjust. I hate the shorter evenings too. DB suffers with SAD & uses a light box so I might consider trying one to lift my mood. I’ve been told I’m very low on Vit D & of course sunshine is a good source of that. Anyone else struggling?

No, I'm the opposite. I really struggle in summer when there is no escape from the sunshine.

The darker evening helps me regulate better and get ready for sleeping better, which as an insomniac is vital.

The long days cause me stress as I feel on alert the whole time and cant relax.

i lack will power during the dark nights. During the summer, I’m more likely to do something during the evenings. Since the clocks change, just haven’t got the willpower.

I struggle with any time change for at least a week. Flying abroad kills me off too.

Nope, I’ve been able to go for a run before work twice this week, whereas the last 2-3 weeks it has been too dark. I’d happily stick with GMT all year round. It’s nice in theory that it stays light until 10 in the summer, but in practice we very rarely do anything that benefits from it. When it’s warm you can still sit out in the dark, they manage fine in the tropics.

Nope. For some reason I always sleep better when the clocks go back.

I don't find that it makes any difference to me, I also don't get jet lag and I suspect the two things are connected. I much prefer autumn and winter anyway, I sleep better when it's cool and dark.

It does affect the dog though, he knows to the minute when his dinner should be served. He's fine having his dinner an hour early in the spring, but in the autumn we have to move his dinner time by 10 minutes a day for a week or so, or he kicks up a hell of a fuss.

Looking forward to March 26 already.

Yes, this is me. I was already starting to struggle a little with the shorter days but the clocks going back has made it so much worse.
