London Hospital appointment on rail strike day - should I go?

I have an appointment next week in London on one of the strike days. I've been waiting a while and really don't want to cancel.
I can't stay overnight beforehand as I have other commitments.
Any other suggestions as to how would be best to get there?
Would driving to a tube station be a disaster?

I think drive and park in an ncp
Car park. Will cost around 20-30 quid for the day plus the congestion charge but worth it for peace of mind

It might be worth checking that the appointment itself is still going ahead.
