Heavy palpitations at night when trying to sleep, what the hell is that about?

I've had to get up and come downstairs after three hours of heavy palpitations, adrenaline surges snd accompanied dizziness coming and going as I'm laid down trying to go to sleep.

It has happened a few times before which I brushed off but never to this extent.

I have a GP appointment for something unrelated next week so I'll be raising it then but has anybody experienced similar and knows what caused it?

I'm late 20's so not menopausal, not pregnant, not anxious (well I wasn't until this!) 😐

@coffeeisthebest I actually only made the connection a couple of years ago when someone else said it did it to them !

OP I could have written this myself. I'm 28, last month I had them for 3 days straight. This month I'm on day 5 and I absolutely hate it. I'm starting to see a link with ovulation potentially? But have no idea why it would just suddenly happen now.

You need to get checked out.

It could actually be sleep apnea.
