DS has had Covid back in 2020.

He was abit off last week now tonight he's really not well, shivering, sore throat, headache, runny nose, persistant cough and really sore eyes...these are all the symptons he had when he got Covid...particularly the sore eyes.

He plays a sport and all weekend been with his sports team mates...now found out quite a few have Covid.

Tested him Tues morning negative tested him Wednesday night as constantly coughing and negative.

Tonight he's really unwell...just done another test negative.

Do I keep testing...or is this flu I wonder.

No need to test anymore

I had covid a few months ago. I had symptoms for 6 days before I tested positive, everyone else in my household was positive so was inevitable that I did have it.

It could be a heavy cold. Almost everyone here seems to have it.

Thing is I look after elderly parent twice and another very vunerable family member. I think even if it's flu I need to steer clear of him as dont want to catch or pass anything on. It would be just good to know.

Whether it's flu or Covid, just be careful around the people you care for. Any illness like that could be dangerous to someone like that.
Why do you need to know if it's Covid? It makes no difference to how you need to act.

JamMakingWannaBe · 27/10/2022 23:13

I had symptoms for a week before I tested positive. As PP, no need to test anymore and no isolation. I likely caught it from a colleague who was also ill but previously negative who has continued to work from the office despite now testing positive.

My DD(18), mum, dad and sister all currently have covid. And it's taken all of them 5 days post first symptoms to get a positive result.

Yankydoodledandy · 27/10/2022 23:18

Yes need to protect my vunerable family memebers.

My boss is insistant if any of us in the office have Covid or family members to stay away. We are a small team so if someone brings it in, and we all go down the ship will sink!!!
