Tried zopiclone with mixed reviews
worked a couple of times and other times still haven’t slept while taking a zopiclone
then felt worse

not sure I’m depressed
I know I’m sleep deprived and struggling to function with it now

Mirtazapine can make you gain weight, I've put on 4 stone & the sleep effect no longer works.

I'm glad someone posted this. I piled the weight on so fast I got stretch marks on my back!!
And it was horrendous to come off the stuff!
Be careful with mirtazipine.

CBD gummies and melatonin - both high dosage. See how you get on but it's helped me enormously

I would give it a try. I take sertraline. I am an insomniac and have been for 20+ years. I still wake during the night but I feel massively less stressed and depressed than I was. It’s made such a difference, and I’m someone who has always been very resistant to antidepressants or any medicine. I can’t say I’ve had any obvious side effects.

OP, in all kindness, you are ALREADY not sleeping, so the "risk" of something "disrupting your sleep" is non-existing. If any medication "disrupts" your sleep for 2-3 days but settles you down and helps you deal with the real cause behind your insomnia, which seems to be stress, in the long term, then by all mean just try it!
