So it's sung by a young black female singer early 20's at most.
She could be really well known for all I know.

I heard/saw it on YouTube approx 2 to 3 yrs ago. The video, she's in her house/flat/bedroom and singing about being happy or safe in her surroundings. I'm sure I remember a cosy room and her wearing just regular top and jeans type. Fairly casual but modern.

The tune I remember is very sweet, just a happy mindful sort of vibe.
As I didn't know who she is I was thinking blimey she's fresh, original, this is going to appeal.
She was just her true self.

I loved the song but I don't have any tune, nothing.
Even if I did I'm not very good at describing the erm younger genres.

I am not younger.

😊

I thank you.

No didn't save or bookmark.
It's not Corrine or Nena.

Thanks for replying I'll check the suggestions out

It's upbeat, not all sad and soulfull.
It's happy and thankful.

So many excellent suggestions.

Not them tho.

I think I'm going to Google female black artists again and search images only. See if I can spot her.
I'm kicking myself for not saving it.
I'm always getting sound bites off the TV etc and searching lyrics when something grabs me.

Why didn't I this time.

I have hope it'll turn up tho.

India Arie?

Emschels · 25/10/2022 20:16

My other thought was Ruth B, she’s got two videos In a house type setting …

Rare & Dirty Nikes

(sorry can’t link the videos on the page like everyone else can!)

If you were signed into YouTube when you watched it, you could either scroll back on your YouTube history or search your history. History is under Library in the app or browser.

I’ve just had a quick look at mine and I got back as far as June 2020 before stopping scrolling so with luck you could find it that way!

thesunwillout · 29/10/2022 12:59

Lemons44 thanks not that one but get why you suggested.

I've scrolled history. Maybe I missed it?
Unfortunately I use my YouTube as a music playlist so it's busy!
