So much time to fill! So many more meals to provide. Sadly we live on an estate so need to drive or bus to do anything at all. Nearest towns are down and out sea-side towns so not the type of place that has museums and galleries doing stuff for free. Anyone else in a similar boat?

How old are your children?
I find it much easier now mine are that bit older and will happily game for a few hours (the whole day if I let them but that’s a bit much).
Its worth remembering that younger kids like familiarity so even if you’ve been to the same park for weeks and weeks, they may still love it when you’re bored out of your head.
Can you arrange to see other kids at all? Mine would always play for ages if there was a friend along too.
I made a boredom jar with the dc when the youngest was about 5, it was just slips of paper with ideas for games or toys and they could pick one out when they didn’t know what to do.
Try to think of a challenge that might work in your area. Counting trees, red cars, number of steps around the block. I mean it’s not super exciting but worth a go.
I hear you on the food. It’s relentless and so hard to say no all the time.
