I’d start marching or join a general strike …..

Happy to be corrected, but I believe the only way is for a vote of no confidence in the government, and as they have a large majority that won't happen.

We definitely need some direct action/poll tax style protests...

We will have to wait until December 2024 or January 2025. And just hope that the damage until then is limited.

And when we vote, don't forget the avoidable deaths, the corruption, the lying, the lack of any moral standards, and all the impact that has had on people in this country, and the UK's reputation.

A general strike would probably force one.

We have to wait until January 2025 , because we have a parliamentary system not a presidential system. We vote for a party not a president.

While of course it’s correct we have a parliamentary system, I don’t agree with your conclusion (at least based on a naive good chap theory of government). Although that relies on the Conservative Party having integrity and putting the country first.

the conservatives have a majority of 70 or so, but the divisions between the nutters and the merely nutty are so great it will be difficult for any Conservative PM to command the respect of the Commons. Plus, the absolute shambles of Truss’s mayfly-lifecycle long premiership would suggest that morally, the public deserve a say now. The Conservative Party had their day and failed spectacularly.
