What's the going rate for the tooth fairy?

First tooth lost in our house. Have no idea what the going rate is for a tooth these days? There's going to be a lot more teeth lost so don't want to set too high a precedent! How much do your children get from the tooth fairy??

OP posts:

£5

OP it needs to be a coin that you ALWAYS have in the house, particularly on cold wet sundays at midnight when you realise you have forgotton! So I would say £1 because i am MUCH more likely to be able to find one of those.

£5 here.

Same here, North West.

Although a friend of DD2 gets £5 each tooth, which is very hard to explain.

A £1 coin - my child knows the size of a fairy and that she would not be able to fly with a large coin and certainly not a note!

£2 for the first one, £1 thereafter. It needs to be coins.

LadyHelenaJustina · 17/10/2022 19:24

£1
