You never questioned why the A-Team were always imprisoned in places that had sufficient tools to build an armoured tank.

Dungeons & Dragons was your favourite cartoon.

Your lunch times were spent perfecting swan dives and backspins.

You fell out with friends during heated arguments about the relative merits of Matt & Luke.

You owned, or wanted a "Frankie says..." T-shirt.

You have ever danced (or even worse cried) to Kylie & Jason.

Cerise pink, electric blue and banana yellow have ever featured in your wardrobe or make-up collection.

You ever did the top toggle of your coat up around your neck without having your arms in the sleeves, and knew you looked like a super-hero.

You remember when the A-Ha video was the pinnacle of modern technology, and you can still sing all the words.

Parachuting Action man was your favourite toy.

Your best party dress was either a ra-ra or puff-ball skirt.

You ever owned a thin, black leather tie (and were proud of it), or worse it was patterned like a piano.

You wondered why a popular kids TV programme told you to "Turn off your TV set and go and do some less boring instead".

You cried at Zammo's funeral.

You wanted to be either Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys.

You ever said "It's my ball, and if I can't be Kevin Keegan I'm going home!"

You remember the aerobie scare.

You have ever po-goed or space-hopped.

You remember when Keith Chegwin & Maggie Philbin were the hottest romantic couple.

You wondered why your walkie-talkie didn't have the same range as those in the Red Hand Gang.

You were shocked by the controversial plot lines in Degrassi Junior High.

You tried to set up a "Famous Five" or "Secret Seven" gang with your school friends.

You tried to convince your Dad to fit a strip of red lights on the front of his Capri so it looked like KITT.

"Ca-vey Wa-vey!" means anything to you.

You ever had more than 10 sweets in a 10p mix-up.

Not only did you wear luminous clothing, but they were mismatched fingerless gloves and towelling socks.

You remember when Betamax was at the cutting edge of technology.

Conveyor belts regularly carried washing machines, deep-fat fryers and a cuddly toy.

You could have got away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.

(Girls) You owned a pair of Pixie Boots, generally worn with leg warmers.

(Boys) You owned a pair of pale grey slip-ons, generally worn with white towelling socks.
Shiny grey flecked suits.

You rolled the sleeves of your suit jacket up

Ooh, you could crush a Grape!

You went to school with Pogo Patterson, Gripper Stebson, and Ro-land.

Fingermouse.

You were proud of your picture appearing in the Gallery.

You remember Look In magazine, and when it was only 20p

You wondered why you and your mates never encountered diamond thieves whilst out on your BMXs.

No 73?

You can remember what Quatro tasted like.

Your best mate had a soda stream at home and you were jealous

Maudy · 29/11/2004 22:12

Caligula · 29/11/2004 22:13

Bum bags were very useful!

MrsDoolittle · 29/11/2004 22:13

What about Worzel Gummidge?
My sister was scared of him

MrsDoolittle · 29/11/2004 22:14

I didn't like his heads coming off!

Oh and bumbags. My mum would still recommend one though

Miaou · 29/11/2004 22:16

I had the Fame album too - and knew all the words to all the songs - me and my friend used to put on our legwarmers and headbands and leap around the room singing them ...

We also had a tape recorder that you had to hold down the button for rewind or fast forward - I used to sellotape it down!

We had a Tandy computer too, and my friend had one with a rainbow on and squishy keys - the other big computer at that time? Can't remember what it was called.

Ooooh, reminiscity.....

munnzieb · 29/11/2004 22:16

blueteddy · 29/11/2004 22:19

Fingerless gloves, pedal pushers & back wing jumpers!!!!

Miaou · 29/11/2004 22:20

I had a batwing jumper that was... maroon. Oh yes, the new black of 1984.

Caligula · 29/11/2004 22:20

Just remembered Leroy from Fame. Does anyone remember the episode where he wore tight orange trousers? It was talked about for weeks...

Carla · 29/11/2004 22:20

Mrs D ..... he's reincarnated himself into Grandpa's Footsteps (or something like that). Tells wonderful tales about Florence Nightingale, Louis Braille, etc. Nooooooo Nooooo Noooo!!! I was thinking about Catweazel. Anyone remember him?

blueteddy · 29/11/2004 22:22

MrsDoolittle · 29/11/2004 22:22

Miaou · 29/11/2004 23:04

My most embarrassing moment - I was at work and said to a colleague, Did you watch I love the 80s last night, brought back loads of memories! And she said - er, actually I don't remember the 80s, I'm too young ......

BLIMEY did I feel old.....

JoolsToo · 29/11/2004 23:06

YOU feel old? - I'm off you're all too young for me

Angeliz · 29/11/2004 23:06

You begged your mam for Pods and ran all the way across the playground to use the SHARED pair of Hi-Tech trainers from your sisiter for P.E

Mrsdoolittle, i asked dp to get me the Wet Wet Wet album for my Birthday

turquoise · 29/11/2004 23:08

I wore most of the clothes mentioned here and the scary dayglo makeup colours - all at once! Oh the shame. Never wore legwarmers and pixie boots together though, I don't think.

Miaou · 29/11/2004 23:18

Ooooh, we did, Turquoise. Where I come from (Yorkshire) you would never be seen dead in your pixie boots without co-ordinating legwarmers!

do you remember the plastic jewellery? Huge dangly earrings, big bead plastic necklaces, and loads of chunky bangles - I remember thinking "I can't ever imagine this look going out of fashion, it's so cool

blossomhill · 29/11/2004 23:21

Your bedroom was covered in Wham posters that later followed with Bros ones.

turquoise · 29/11/2004 23:22

You did come to your senses eventually though. Sadly I still thought my batwing top was really rather flattering until only a couple of years ago

blossomhill · 29/11/2004 23:26

Turquoise and what about the reversible sweatshirts. I had a 101 dalmation one - thougt I was the bees knees
