First time covid but feel so well?!

I will start by saying I feel I am quite a "poorly person" unfortunately. Think, migraines since a young age, fertility issues, unexplained heart attack, back pain, numerous other complaints etc and I am only late 20s!

About 6-8 weeks ago, my health took a turn and I was struggling even more with lethargy and exhaustion, unexplained body pains, I even took 2 days off work with a migraine which is unlike me. I also haven't been able to eat without vomiting, my weight has dropped to 6stone. Throughout this time, I was testing periodically for Covid as I am CEV. All came back negative.

I felt slightly better but woke with a cough yesterday, did a test and it came back positive. I was still sick in the morning as I had a drink of pop but later that day I felt hungry and managed to eat a full meal for first time in months without vomiting. I seem to have a lot more energy today and have gone 24 hours + without vomiting. What on earth is going on?

I have had 4 vaccines and this is my first time catching covid. This is totally not what I expected! I feel better then I have in months! Can anyone shed any light please?!

Some people have few or no symptoms, that has always been the case.

Covid has weird effects on the immune system, so if your previous symptoms were autoimmune in nature then it's entirely possible that catching the virus jump started something and the body stopped attacking itself. It's obviously a massive dice roll, some people have worsening symptoms and some end up getting autoimmune disease for the first time. The leading theory is that long covid is autoimmune in nature.

I have lupus and also prone to bouts of migraines, fatigue and general illness. However all those symptoms disappeared after my booster vaccination. It was truly bizarre. I had virtually no side effects and the vaccination took away my migraines for almost 6 months. They did come creeping back again but it was fantastic while it lasted. I did end up catching covid as well but it was extremely mild and without lasting side effects.

How ill you tend to be beforehand doesn't always correlate to how ill the virus makes you. The media really played up the CEV issue, to the point that many people were convinced they would 100% die if they caught it. But from all the people we know, the vast majority with risk factors (obviously also vaccinated) had completely uneventful bouts of covid. Others were perfectly healthy and knocked out for a few weeks. It's truly random, and you just need to thank your lucky stars if it leaves you feeling better than before!
