Flower delivery websites

The options seem endless. Can anyone recommend, or rule out, any flower delivery companies for a one off. For an anniversary gift. Thanks :)

I really love Arena Flowers. Beautiful arrangements in sustainable packaging that survive being delivered really well. I’ve also used Freddie’s flowers and Bloom and wild… Freddie’s was okay, but Bloom and wild despite looking great on site, was a tiny bunch that arrived, which for the price was disappointing!

I used Bunches recently. Absolutely beautiful and still going strong 8 days later!

Avoid Next, have had 2 gifts from them and flowers were over the hill on both occasions.

M and S and interflora work fine. Not Bloom n Wild. Always withered.

fizzyfood · 15/10/2022 19:16

A customer of mine uses Fred's flowers and they're alway beautiful

LovedFedAndNoonesDead · 15/10/2022 19:18

I’ve been happy with Freddie’s Flowers and also with Prestige Flowers as both a sender and a recipient.

Gingersay · 15/10/2022 19:34

Use a local florist, you are more likely to a nicer arrangement and a personal touch.

Bloom and Wild, use them loads and they are great. I've also received from them and have been happy

Teresa777 · 15/10/2022 21:01

Arena are great but especially love Bloom & Wild.

LunaLoveFood · 15/10/2022 21:02

I use bloom&wild and have always had lively flowers.

Nsky62 · 15/10/2022 21:03

Bunches great discounts, points, money to charity too, lovely selection, ethical flowers!
nearly always get 25% off

Sprig1 · 15/10/2022 21:11

Why don't you look up florist local to the recipient and give them a call?

Just convenience. I'll struggle to have the time to do it at a time the shops open!

I really love Bloom and Wild, I have a subscription where I get a bouquet each month and the flowers are fab and last ages. The link above will get you £10 off (I get a credit too)

Badger1970 · 15/10/2022 21:27

A lot of smaller florists have their own websites where you can place orders these days, thanks to FloristPro.

All the others mentioned above tend to be clearing houses who pass onto local florists and keep a cut of the money - often around 25%. So it's worth hunting around for a local florist. You're paying an awful lot of money for someone to place the order on your behalf.

Whitepouringglue · 15/10/2022 21:58

It looks like bloom and wild got wind of this thread and over egged the pudding a bit.

334bu · 15/10/2022 22:58

I second the local florist route. The flowers always last much longer.

I’ve had the opposite - discussed with local florist what was wanted, paid and arranged date for delivery. What arrived was not what had been discussed, half the blooms were well past their best and it was delivered a day later than requested (a bereavement anniversary so pretty important rather than just ‘let’s send Aunty Joan some flowers’ occasion). In fact it was so bad that, having supplied photos, I was given a full refund. Won’t use local again when it comes to flower deliveries.

tiredofthiisshit21 · 16/10/2022 08:25

I used Waitrose for a flower delivery last week and they were great.

luckylavender · 16/10/2022 08:28

I love Bloom and Wild

peridito · 16/10/2022 08:28

Bloom and wild are indeed lovely but I find M&S cheaper and very reliable with quality and delivery.

FennelAndOnions · 16/10/2022 08:32

Always used E-Florist and have never had a problem, even with their next day delivery. They’ve always arrived.

AnnieCannyFrangipani · 16/10/2022 08:44

The flowers I've had from Bloom and Wild never last long, and they swap flowers so you don't always get what was ordered. I've had more luck with M&S. They have the benefit of individual product reviews so you get an idea of which bouquets are best to choose.

Cornish Blooms are amazing, family owned firm, sustainable packaging, lovely flowers

barneymcgroo · 16/10/2022 08:50

I've been given some beautiful narcissi from here: amazing scent, lasted ages. Just watch for the postal strikes, I suppose.
