Can washing conditioner and scent booster things hurt eyes?

I've had irritated eyes and chest for a few weeks now- I'm just putting the laundry away and both bad again. Could it be the washing stuff? I assumed they're quite gentle as advertised for family washing etc

I’m allergic to perfume and have to be really careful with washing powder even some hypoallergenic products has parfum as it’s called in its listings. That’s any product nkt just washing powder. I use Tesco non bio. If there is the possibility that you are peri menopausal it’s a great time time for allergies appearing as your bodies hormones mess about. I became allergic to hair dye and my already sensitive skin got much worse during peri menopause.

Basically saying family friendly is just marketing spiel.

It doesn’t matter it it’s sensitive - if you’re allergic you’re allergic.

we can only use non-bio in our house and no softener - no matter whether it says it’s gentle or for babies or whatever. Ezcema and sensitivity to perfumes all round. It’s a shame as I’d love our washing to smell lovely 😂

Quite possibly!
i’m really sensitive to both washing powder on my skin and any sort of artificial smells and perfumes. My friend gave me a lift today and had an air freshener in the car and I couldn’t wait to get out!
