Responses that give you rage

Inspired by a text I received today,
what responses to messages give you rage?

Today, it was a thumbs up emoji in response to a very detailed message about a family members health.

i also can’t stand when people just put ‘K’
Or even worse ‘Whatever’ especially if it’s from an adult!

Have I missed any?

'No panic,' following a calm response that I will get back to sender on something. I'm not panicking!

Redsharks · 19/11/2022 23:16

"It is what it is"

KR
So you're waaay to busy and important to write kind regards in full.
FO.

🤣 brilliant.

PeekabooAtTheZoo · 19/11/2022 23:18

When people finish a sentence with "lovely" in the most insincere way, like "thanks lovely," or "how are you, lovely?" Usually followed by a series of the letters 'x' and 'o', like they need to remind me to buy oxo??

Jellykat · 19/11/2022 23:19

Redsharks · 19/11/2022 23:16

"It is what it is"

Was coming on to say exactly this!

Another one is 'what can i say?' ..so dismissive

DuncanBiscuits · 19/11/2022 19:42

🙂

So passive aggressive.

I came here to say the exact same

Gronkle · 19/11/2022 23:22

Absolutely nothing about the way others communicate bothers me, so long as I understand what they mean.

Classical24 · 19/11/2022 23:26

When people respond 'yeah can do'

doodleygirl · 19/11/2022 23:30

Off topic, but it gives me the rage when someone sends me a detailed text about anything. I’m a fucking grown up, I don’t want a text conversation about anything detailed or important, just call.

MimiArm · 19/11/2022 23:31

Lol

Luredbyapomegranate · 19/11/2022 23:33

See my problem is people who expect long replies. It’s a text message. What’s wrong with yep/ok/fine??

rattlinbog · 19/11/2022 23:36

Something passive aggressive followed by 😅

QuiteSomeTime · 19/11/2022 23:39

anything with full stops at the end. Like “yes that’s fine.” or “I don’t know.”

it stresses me out because adding the full stop feels so…pointed! my work colleague has just deleted all her online dating profiles because she keeps getting unmatched by men and I want to say to her ‘your messaging style comes across as very serious and stern’ and she’s not like that at all in real life!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/11/2022 23:43

I couldn't get worked up by this
I can't bring myself to get worked up by this

So fucking patronising . Pretty much "I am such a calm and level headed person who unlike you isn't wound up by trivialities"

RosettaStormer · 19/11/2022 23:44

When people don’t answer a message at all. So rude. Yep, gonna, yeah. Lol. Calling me lovely or hun. Shouting at me in capitals.

RandomCatGenerator · 19/11/2022 23:46
Biscuit
RosettaStormer · 19/11/2022 23:46

Oh and ‘ur’ ‘u’. Just spell the word out!

As above. My eyes hurt, I can't type with my fat thumbs ,just ring me!

Shouldershoddy · 19/11/2022 23:52

It depends on the message and if it requires a message back ! Why are people so sensitive? I personally would not message a friend if it was a major problem..I would call them .

Geppili · 19/11/2022 23:56

K

Pollywoddles · 20/11/2022 00:03

Ah sure you know yourself.

No I fucking don’t, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked in the first place. So much rage!

DornChorus · 20/11/2022 00:07

Yeah massive long text messages are annoying.

SwedishEdith · 20/11/2022 00:16

I do K to my kids, mostly because they've told me it's rude. But what is the actually approved response that's just an acknowledgment? I don't care, really, because I don't really communicate with anyone offended by a text (or lack of) message

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/11/2022 00:51

My DS answers me "Yeah" which is fine by me .
If it's anything more involved he might phone me (especially if he wants a lift)

JMAngel1 · 20/11/2022 00:55

Never mind.

Gives me rage 😡
