Can anyone give me some tips?
Have booked a serviced apartment in Waterloo and parking space in south bank
Are roads likely to be closed and if so what time?

Yes there will be road closures 😂 I’m not quite sure what info you’re expecting from this thread considering the date was only announced an hour ago, and I’m only speculating here but I doubt the Duke of Norfolk who’s organising it is on mn. Although since he lost his licence he might have more time.

Well I'm hoping people who travelled to london for the queens funeral may know a bit more regarding road closures etc

If no roads were closed there would be nothing to see.

Has anyone previously advised how far in advance you will need to camp out? I am travelling to London for the coronation as well and have been searching high and low for this information. Not interested in watching it on tv as I want to be there in person.

If you want to get to the front I would say a week

I am not sure the road closures would be the same, keeping an eye on the offical royal website may help not sure anyone knows what is what yet

Why on earth folk want to attend this bizarre spectacle is beyond me.
An utter waste of money when folk are struggling, a disgusting flaunting of wealth.

Thanks. I am going to choose my exact spot closer to then with the road closures, etc, in mind but just want to get an idea of what the norm is there.

It's not a 'bizarre spectacle', is it, though? It's an entirely traditional event of historical significance which many people will wish to be part of. You don't have to, so don't trouble yourself about it. If the coronation didn't happen and if the monarchy were abolished, people would still be poor. It wouldn't make the slightest difference.
