Men making sheep noises at my dd and her friend

My 16 year old daughter and her friend left school during the day (they are allowed to leave and come back) to go to the corner shop. Some men working on a building site made loud sheep sounding noises at them - they didn’t turn round - the noises continued for ages. This site is very near the school - they must be doing it to every female teenager that walks past. Would you tell the school?

DD says this kind of thing happens all the time. Which I know it does and I see the way much older men ogle her. It’s shit. When is this going to improve .

My guess would be that they want the attention, but are making sheep noises so that they aren't actually 'cat calling' school girls. They are pathetic. I would email the school. They probably won't do anything more, but they might make some young girls feel very uncomfortable.

I'd report them to anyone who'll listen.

Baa noises usually mean mutton dressed as lamb. These men are horrible whatever their meaning.

It doesn't matter what the noises are- they are making the girls feel uncomfortable- so have the position of power- wrong.

Call the site manager

I had men baa at me from a van when I was pregnant at 21. I’ve never known their meaning and I found it really upsetting because I thought they were calling me fat or ugly something having never been curvy before. I’ve had all the other things like any woman, beeps, cheering, wolf whistles, shouting ‘compliments’ etc but I found the baa-ing really unsettling and I’ve never heard of them doing it to other girls until now. Men can be rubbish and yeah they should be told to stop doing it to school girls.

We need a Pervs Exposed website where people can upload videos and recordings of them doing things like this, together with the location and company name. Plus dick pics with the number they were sent from.

It's not at all the Schools job to complain. Support your daughter in making a complaint or do it yourself. Maybe you could explain why you would ask the School to do it?

There should be a sign on the building site telling you what company is doing the works with contact details.

Then email a complaint to the building site contractors with the date and time of the event asking them to investigate why their staff are harassing young girls. Mention that the school is being informed too.

It is unacceptable that they are doing this and the fact that site is so near a school as well makes it likely they will do this to other girls.

This will ring massive alarm bells at the company head office...

It really is time for men to realise there is zero tolerance for the harassment of women and girls.

If people don’t start doing this it will never stop. Like the racism in football I seen a sign at the weekend saying report it, confront it and call it out
