Is this a ladybird pupae?

This little thing is living in our hallway near the coats. I noticed it last week when I could still see its legs and now it seems to have formed a pupae. If you touch it, it wiggles so it's definitely alive.

If it is a ladybird, it's very late to be doing this isn't it? I thought they hibernated for the winter?

Yes, definitely. They do keep breeding into late in the year

Any idea what I should do with it when it emerges? Thats if I see it of course.
It obviously can't go out as it should be hibernating. Will it need to eat?
