I'm watching muppet babies, the new version, and their tooth fairy brings presents and not money. So I was wondering what was normal in various countries. I'm in the UK and my kids got a quid per tooth!

In Spain the little Mouse Perez brings you a little present. When I was little it was always a book.

I love the idea of a mouse, makes much more sense!

I know! My daughters now get a book from Ratoncito Perez and a coin from the fairy... Spoilt children : -)

By the way, in Valencia (Spain) there's a tooth museum where children can visit and see what happens with the teeth once the Mouse takes them. It's a fantastic museum.

In France the little mouse leaves money.

If you're really unlucky like us, for your DCs best friends it leaves 10 euros for the first tooth/the molars and 5 euros for every other tooth.

Whereas our mouse only leaves 1 euro per tooth. Sigh.
