You'll be contributing to the greatness of the Crisis Team I am currently under.

I cannot really remember many, but Man vs Bee has made me laugh today.

‘The one Amy Schumer stars in. So funny but also so uplifting as they actually start appreciating her for who she is despite her size.’

yes, because shes so enormous. Not.

Few shout outs for Galaxy Quest, Anchorman, Superbad and Dodgeball, but it’s got to be
Withnail and I.

it’s perfection.

This is Spinal Tap.

That Sinking Feeling.

Ah, another Bill Forsyth fan!

StClare101 · 08/10/2022 05:12

We’re the Millers. Unexpectedly funny.

Office Space. Same as above.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Bridesmaids.

Hot Fuzz.

Run Fat Boy. Run. Another one I wasn’t expecting to find funny.

StClare101 · 08/10/2022 05:14

Oh yes, I loved Death at a Funeral! Martha was the best character.

I watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation every Christmas and every Christmas I laugh myself silly.

Surreality22 · 08/10/2022 05:19

Death at a Funeral (original version).

The Party, love Peter Sellers but the film itself is not very PC.

The Jerk

Its a mad, mad, mad world

Dumb and dumber

Laurel & Hardy, always used to watch these with my DDad.

Betahydroxybutyrate · 08/10/2022 07:16

Knives Out
Paul (aliens aren’t called Paul 😂)
A Million Ways To Die in the West

The Proposal, The Adam Project and Just Friends as Ryan Reynolds’ contribution. Betty White is class in The Proposal.

So I Married an Axe Murderer

I’d forgotten about So I Married an Axe Murderer, cracks me up!
Watched Son of Rambow the other day and there were some real laugh out loud moments.
As a family we love a lot of Will Ferrell and Jack Black films. I’ve thought that these were funny:
Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar
What we do in the Shadows
Friday
Eurovision - the story of fire saga
Waiting for Guffman
Little Miss Sunshine
Brian and Charles
Bad Teacher

AlecTrevelyan006 · 08/10/2022 08:13

The Plank - written by and starring the last great Eric Sykes. Co stars Arthur Lowe with Bernard Cribbins, Lionel Blair, Charlie Drake etc about two work men moving a plank

Mingot · 08/10/2022 08:41

Some great ones on here, another vote for

Withnail and I
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead
A million ways to die in the west (sitting here singing the moustache song 😂)
All the National lampoon films, but especially Christmas vacation for the "shitters full" line 😂

I was at the gates of hell in 2015 due to a horrific bout of OCD and not a film but binge watching the Big Bang Theory partially got me through it. Get well soon OP xx

SlowingDownAndDown · 08/10/2022 09:54

Carry on up the Khyber

Imnotswallowingthat · 08/10/2022 12:56

Rat Race is funny, especially the Hitler’s car scene.

fairtrauchled · 08/10/2022 13:56

We're the Millers, actually laughed out loud in the cinema
Airplane
Meet the Fockers
American Pie

Hbh17 · 08/10/2022 14:03

When Harry Met Sally

Eeiliethya · 08/10/2022 14:05

The Bird Cage sticks out for me as having me in hysterics. It's just comedy gold.

Hot Rod.

Step Bros.

Planes trains - the bit where they go through the 2 lorries and turn into skeletons.

Home Alone. The spider scream.

So many. But Bird Cage is one of my faves.

Eeiliethya · 08/10/2022 14:05

Christmas Vacation national lampoons.

Vacation - national lampoons.

Eeiliethya · 08/10/2022 14:07

Porkies.

Pinkittens · 08/10/2022 14:12

Daddy's Home 1 & 2

TheLeadbetterLife · 08/10/2022 14:16

I won't repeat the many brilliant films already mentioned (though I will second My Cousin Vinny, since no-one else has yet - phenomenal).

Here are some other cracking ones:

Pitch Perfect
Singin' in the Rain
How To Marry A Millionaire
Hunt For the Wilderpeople
Muriel's Wedding
Strictly Ballroom
Sisters
Mean Girls
Office Space
South Park

Possibly verboten these days but I also enjoy a Woody Allen film.

I also watched a couple of obscure films on Netflix recently that I enjoyed a lot - Ibiza and Handsome. Handsome was weird, because it felt like maybe it was bad, and yet it was hugely enjoyable and I laughed a lot. Maybe it wasn't bad? I don't know! It was only about 80 minutes long anyway, so worth a go.

Seasidemumma77 · 08/10/2022 14:25

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Clawdy · 08/10/2022 14:37

That scene in Sleeper - " Yeah, but can he do this??" That mad little dance!
