Paris with teens

I'm visiting Paris with my teens in a few weeks and would love some lesser known recommendations. We went a few years ago and did lots of the touristy things and loved them but be nice to do something a bit different this time.

They’re 14 & 15 DD & DN, into things most girls their age are. Be good to find some cool places to eat, shop & see (DN is a vegan) We’re staying near Marais.

thank you

DD loves Pere Lachaise. On one trip we did see a light exhibition at Atelier des Lumieres, Klimt I think, last time we went but that was ages ago now. She likes just generally mooching about. She likes art so enjoys the Louvre, likes Montmartre.

The Dior museum is amazing, just walk past the dullish info boards on his life and head for the frocks

Can't beat a bit of the Eiffel tower, lift up and walk down.
We went on a boat along the canal St. Martin, it is a slow meander through 9 (I think) locks and on to the Seine. Goes through a really long tunnel where they filmed Mission Impossible, plus a bridge from the Amelie film. Our teens enjoyed it though - take lots of snacks!
In fact film locations was a thing we made a feature of visiting (we watched some films before going especially).
The Sacre Couer is also worth a visit, if you do the rooftop walk you can see gargoyles close up and get 360 views. Walking there through Monmatre is any event in itself.
The catacombs also good if a bit out of the way.
We also enjoyed visiting the grand Mosque - it has an amazing tea garden where they serve hot sweet mint tea.
Also worth wandering around the Trocadero - crazy place, lots of street performers and artists outside. Check out the inside exhibitions and museum of modern art if that's your thing.

There is also so much more in the way of Veggie and Vegan food these days (way better than 15 years ago when we were last there). We are all veggie and found loads of places to eat - I can't recall which now. Including the most amazing tunisian vegan mezze eaten on the street side as the sun set romantically which the kids still rave about. We looked online before going and made a list of likely places - didn't book anything.

Go to the Pompidou centre, pray for a clear day, go up all the external escalators then have coffee up top. www.centrepompidou.fr/en/ The Stravinsky fountain is just behind, bonkers.

Re Sacre Coeur, run them up the stairs-it’ll be cold in a few weeks, go behind the church, the caricature artist may still be there. If not, have crepes in one of the cafes.

Bugger yes I meant the Pompidou not the Trocadero!

Agree with the dome of Sacre Coeur and the Catacombs, also there is quite an interactive waxworks museum mine found hilarious, also not really a teen thing but try Ile de la Cite where you can go to the museum of the revolution and see the stained glass at Sainte Chapelle. Also look out for the blue plaque type things on many street corners commemorating ordinary people who fell when Paris was occupied by the Nazis.
