Vinted - How do I know what the postage is?

I'm probably being a bit thick (no surprises there!)
Browsing Vinted and I can either buy or make an offer, however I can't see what the postage is.

For instance, I don't want to buy a pair of jeans @£1.50 and be charged £15 for postage.

Fair postage is fine, but I'm an old eBayer where this was rife until they clamped down.

Am I making hard work of it? 🤣

Does it not give you a list of options like Evri, Yodel etc on the listing page of each item?

Frizzup · 05/10/2022 15:09

Hey, I think it was either says it under the item description, or you may have to select 'Buy' to then see the info.

If you press buy it should then show you the delivery/postage options and price before you confirm to pay

You're normally given 2 options OP 1st is pick up point which is normally under £3 and the 2nd to home which can be slightly over £3 in my experience

Cantthinkofanewnameatm · 05/10/2022 15:13

Shown towards the end of the listing, just scroll down.
If you press on more it gives you more details about the item so you have to scroll further.
But as pp said you can press buy and it’ll show you the total inc postage and you can just not confirm.

Also, the buyer doesn't set the postage charges. Vinted works with Evri (mainly) and other couriers and it automatically applies the actual postage cost the courier would charge if you were to pay for it directly with them, rather than it being like eBay and the seller able to apply their own made up postage charges.

Hi, sadly my mum and dad have passed away and I want to sell their items on Vinted but there doesn’t seem to be information how I find the price of postage?
does anyone know how I would work the pricing of items (mainly clothing 😞) but all is like brand new and the family have taken the items they wanted, having two funerals has left us in dept or I would donate to charity, thank you for help

StrawberryPavlova · 22/02/2024 18:14

@Blue83 so sorry for your loss Flowers

You don't need to worry about postage costs. You just list the items for the amount you want to sell them for, postage is on top of that and the buyer can see their options when they look to buy. It's all automatically built in.

For clothes, just chose the small parcel option for everything and if someone wants to buy a bundle of items for you, you confirm the parcel size before they pay. So the other day I sold a bundle of my daughter's jumpers and hoodies. Everything was listed individually as a small parcel, but once I had checked the weight of what they wanted to buy, I confirmed it as a large parcel (as it was over 1kg, which is the weight limit for medium) and they then paid.
