Teapots?

Posting for teapot advice! I have this teapot from many years ago, which is beautiful and and I love, but it’s too big for me to drink the tea before it gets cold and when I got it, it didn’t come with the infuser which is something I’d really like. Less beautifully, I’ve been considering asking Father Christmas for a double walled teapot like this one to help keep the tea warm. I figured if I had this with a cosy then I could make the pot last a while. But not sure if just to buy the infuser for my pretty teapot and hope that stays warm enough!

If you use a teapot, which one do you have and would you recommend it?

Royal Albert bone China is the way to go. So many choices to choose from. I like Lavender Rose and Val d'Or the best. You can buy one off eBay for approximately £40. You can get matching milk jugs and sugar bowls and whole tea services too including cake stands and sandwich plates. Bone China keeps tea hot, taste nicer and always use a tea cosy. I collect T pots and these are the best in my view. I love to offer my friends a beautiful cream tea with nice bone China tea service and cake stand. I use mine everyday and it goes in dishwasher every 3 or 4 days. They are not supposed to be dishwasher safe but it has not done mine any harm.

Forgot to add, each pot has 3 sizes, small holding 2-3 teacups, medium holding 4-5 teacups and large holding 8 teacups.

@caringcarer can I be your friend please!!

@toastofthetown I don't use a tea pot. I live alone & just make it in the cup, BUT I think I might get one but it would have to be beautiful. I'm sure the double walled one would keep the tea hot, but it's soulless. Possibly practical if you WFH & just need tea kept hot. But there's no joy in it. Tea pots should bring joy IMO.

I have a china teapot (or two) and I have a rather fetching tea cosy.
There are some fantastic creations available from enthusiastic knitters, cottages, castles, etc.
I like this one:

I’ve also got a Pico ware set, which I've relegated to the allotment and a red enamel one, which is my van/camping teapot.

They all look good and make nice tea.
My criteria for a good teapot also includes being a good pourer. No idea how this can be tested at time of purchase without seeming a little odd, though,

Second royal albert, they also have the tea for one sets which are so pretty but also somehow make the tea taste nicer 😂

We've got the Procook one that you have linked to. I think it may be a bit big for a single cup as the strainer sits quite high. Not a problem if, like me, you always go back for a 2nd cup.

I love it - the 2nd cup is always piping hot and not stewed as the water level drops below the strainer for the 2nd cup.

Although I love a China teapot and cosy, this is the best thing ever

I think you can get it on Amazon too. Worth every penny

Since I got the Tassimo for coffee, which is unrivalled, I use my filter coffee maker as a tea machine. Put tea or teabags where the coffee would go, full the back with water, and it makes tea that then stays warm to pour from for multiple cuppas per day. Can use for herbal tea too.

The Royal Albert teapot, used with a thick tea cosy keeps tea hot for up to 40 minutes and pours well, no drips.

Hi, There's a website called UpperStreetHome.com who sell a really lovely range of glass and teapots, all with infusers. They also sell infuser mugs if you wanted to just make a single cup, rather than a whole pot if it's going to go cold before you can drink all the tea you've made. They're also offering 20% off across the whole site for the coronation with code CORONATION20. I've got mine in time for the street party!
