Two weeks of internet post-move

I've looked online but can't get my head around the options!

Tried to coordinate the transfer of our TalkTalk Wi-Fi to happen the day after our move on October 12th, but I ended up having to start a new account as our current package isn't available in the area we're moving to. The engineers can only come on October 26th to set the new package up.

TalkTalk have given me £40 as a goodwill gesture, which I would like to put towards getting online for those two weeks where we have a gap. I work from home, and while I could use phone data at a push, I'd rather get a wifi dongle. All the ones I've seen online seem to be tied into a contract. I literally just need two weeks! Has anyone had anything like that?

It’s a total pain getting internet in your new house when you move. We literally moved half a mile away and it took Sky weeks to get it sorted. Dh works from home and he had to work at my sister’s house until it was done. I have no advice but I totally sympathize.Flowers

I’ve got a payg one from EE. Got it 2 tide us over between internet providers. Still using it 6 months later as it’s better than the broadband we had!

We ended up just using phone data. It was fine.

I know Three definitely sell a dongle with a 30 day rolling contract that you just have to remember to cancel before the 30 days is up, so I imagine others do as well.

Actually, here's a link I've just found: www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/mobile-broadband/dongles/?sortBy=ContractLength

Get a one penny mobile SIM, it is £20 of credit, you can use it any time in the first year and it is cheap as chips to use.

I got one just before I moved to France last year and I'm still using it for data roaming. Costs me pennies.

Smarty sim, its a one month contract you aren't tied for any longer so you could cancel after a few days. 200gb for £17 or unlimited for £20. Around £11 for a dongle on eBay and add sim and plug in to a usb socket. Then when you cancel the smarty sim, you can keep the dongle for future use.

Smarty runs on the Three network so if you check what your signal is like on the Three website.
