If you had to choose..

between these three things, which do you think would appeal most to you?

  1. a huge lottery win.
  2. to wake up with your idea of a perfect body and face.
  3. deep contentment and inner peace.

I think that having to choose it unfair, but hey, this genie has to work by the rules Grin
One might say that choosing No1 would lead to the others, but it generally doesn't does it? But in a way, you could definitely argue that choosing No3 could effect some interesting and very positive changes.....I am spoiled for choice.

I, because its the only one that I can share with my family.

DramaAlpaca · 02/10/2022 02:18

Lottery win I'd have to do it first, of course, and I don't

It would lead to 3. I'm not bothered about 2, I value myself as I am.

A few things money couldn't fix, even though I would gladly accept the euro millions jackpot:
1 loss/grief
2 traumatic memories
3 certain mental health issues
4 loneliness
5 fear of mortality and sickness
6 war
7 genetic predisposition

Money would sure help, but i disagree that it would change beauty, fitness or weight though - i think so much of that is tied up with internal stuff.

Money can't fix everything. But can't deny it will make life a lot better being able to live stress free, enjoy life which does cost money, anyone who says money doesn't bu happiness is either rich or stupid, money matters !

Vapeyvapevape · 02/10/2022 02:30

3 for me . All the money in the world won't change the family worries I have .

AsAnyFuleKno · 02/10/2022 02:31

The lottery win, because I could buy the other things - my perfect body and face via plastic surgery's and I would be freed from much of what prevents my achievement of inner peace (money worries, work stress as I could give up my job etc.)

No idea where the spurious apostrophe in 'surgery' came from.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 02/10/2022 02:34

For me 3 , surely that is what all of us strive for .

ElEmEnOhPee · 02/10/2022 02:38

Number 1 because whilst I'm not completely happy with my looks I would rather learn to love myself as I am. I don't want deep contentment because I feel like it would stop me feeling motivated to achieve something or better my life in some way.

Number 1 would give me peace of mind that at least my son would be financially secure if something should happen to me (his dad isn't on the scene). It would ease a lot of my worries.

caringcarer · 02/10/2022 02:50

3

Ugzbugz · 02/10/2022 03:00

3, if I could relive a traumatic free childhood I would work forever. No money could change that.

Vapeyvapevape · 02/10/2022 12:16

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht to sail right up next to it .

Yucca78 · 02/10/2022 12:18

3 obviously

UniBallEye · 02/10/2022 12:43

1 all the way for me.
Having money can buy you the best treatments & supports for all manner of afflictions.
There are few things in my life right now that would not be massively improved with having enough money to never have to worry about it.

I would like to have that money anonymously through. I think lots of the problems famously wealthy people have result from social pressures to live / behave/ maintain a social order.

I would not want to live in a fishbowl of fame. But if I could have an unlimited bank account I know I would have an amazing life!

miceonabranch · 02/10/2022 12:46

1 because I'd then be able to help set my children up and offer them stability.

howaboutchocolate · 02/10/2022 12:48
  1. I already have 3 mostly. Having money would mean I could give some to my family so they could also have 3.
MintJulia · 02/10/2022 12:51
  1. which would swiftly lead to 3. and allow me to provide for DS as well.
HairyMothballs · 02/10/2022 12:52
  1. Then 1 and 2 would be irrelevant
HairyMothballs · 02/10/2022 12:53

I meant 3

AndYouCanBuggerOffAsWell · 02/10/2022 12:54

3 all the way
I've had the gastric sleeve and it brings a whole other lot of headfuckery, but I'd be dead without it so 🤷‍♀️🤣

Imissmoominmama · 16/11/2022 20:15

Three. I’m getting there and can’t imagine a lovelier life.

M0rT · 16/11/2022 20:19

If your idea of a perfect body & face includes a perfectly healthy body then I'll go with 2.

  1. Once you have grief, you have grief. Poor or rich. But money allows you to distract yourself or have counselling. No amount of money or peace or contentment can bring back the dead.
  2. As above.
  3. Private health care.
  4. Money allows you to have time and resources to try new hobbies and meet new people.
  5. Again, time and resources to spend on your health. Personal chef, personal trainer, fancy gym membership or home gym etc. And to enjoy the time that you have now.
  6. I'm sure some billionaires have bunkers somewhere in case of nuclear war.
  7. Not sure what you mean.
Hobnobsandbroomstick · 16/11/2022 20:57

I wouldn't choose 3, because I already have peace and contentment to a certain degree, and I wouldn't want to magically change who I am and how I see the world.
