VR addiction

A second friends marriage has just been destroyed by the stupid oculus addiction and I'm witnessing family and friends lives suffer because of it too. If your partner or kids are on one till the early hours you should be very worried. VR addiction is a timebomb waiting to go off in the world. It gets even more worrying when you read about the plans for the metaverse. We know social media is not great for mental health. How many people lived these pretend lives on Facebook and had their real life suffer as a result. Now people can dissappear into a made up world for hours where they can speak to anyone and do anything they like without consequences. At some point VR is going to be indistinguishable from real life. Tell me that isn't dangerous. 2 friends marriages now down the drain and whenever we are with our friends group it is literally all they talk about with each other. They gone from perfectly functioning adults to boderline losers. We've noticed them doing less and less with their kids too. Weekends are spent on the vr now rather than going out and doing things. I never thought I'd hate a game console but I really do. Hell will freeze over before one comes into our house
